Second Providence Baptist Church Health and Wellness Ministry is about caring for body, mind and spirit, and nurturing the growth toward wholeness in and through Jesus Christ. We aim to promote individual and community health and well being through education, counseling, pastoral support resource, referral, care management services, using health professionals, pastoral nurses, and pastoral care volunteers. The Health and Wellness Ministry is modeled on Jesus' healing ministry, to help individuals and the community maintains physical, emotional, social and spiritual health, so they may have a full and abundant life. The Health and Wellness Ministry team are committed to caring for people holistically, helping each person achieve optimal well being during temporary, chronic or terminal phases of illness. We seek to assist the individual, the congregation and the community to achieve health wholeness by attending to the physical, psycho social and spiritual dimensions of each person.
